Wonderland
I paint using different techniques, making paintings and portraits. I also do graphics, photography and installations.
I especially enjoy installations and assemblages, for me they are exhilarating and pleasureful experiences. It's amazing to be able create new dramaturgy by separating items and things from their previous realities and connections. In a sense the items seem to be waiting for a new context. I meet them everywhere I go, in the flea markets of Paris, or in the depths of a forest. Often a deposed mundane item, redundant for others, sparks a need in me to reinvent and continue the dialogue.
The beginning of the work consists of ideas and revelations, which then evolve into technical implementation and presentation - all the while being a dynamic, everchanging development process. A new concreteness and reality is born. The past and lived life, the present and the future, everything that is possible meet and greet each other. The absudity of the encounter between different elements surprises - there are no actual boundaries. Anything is possible in the Wonderland.
My photography visualizes world from a similar perspective - manipulating reality through images.
